O Japanese Film Festival (JFF), projeto realizado pela Japan Foundation para promover o cinema japonês em todo o mundo realiza o festival JFF Plus: Online Festival com exibição online e gratuita de recentes filmes.

O JFF Plus: Online Festival acontece durante 10 dias exibindo filmes recentes do cinema contemporâneo japonês, entusiastas podem ver os com horários pré-definidos e de diversos gêneros e gostos.

Todos os filmes do JFF Plus: Online Festival que estão na programação dedicada ao Brasil possuem legendas em português, inglês e outros idiomas, os filmes ficarão disponíveis por 24h a partir do horário programado, após o limite de validade não será mais possível das play no filme.

A Japan Foundation é a única instituição do Japão dedicada a realizar programas do âmbito cultural de aprofundamento do entretenimento entre o Japão e os outros países , com sede em Tóquio e 24 escritório em 23 países incluindo Brazil – SP

A Story of Yonosuke

Lady Maiko

Haruko aspires to become a maiko, and makes her way to Shimohachiken, a geisha quarter in Kyoto. She is accepted for an apprenticeship through the auspices of Kyono, a linguistic scholar who is intrigued by her thick Kagoshima and Tsugaru dialect, and trains furiously to become a fully-fledged maiko.

Tora-san in Goto

A documentary shot from 1993 and over 22 years chronicled a large family who make their living as udon noodle makers on the Goto Archipelago in Nagasaki Prefecture. Inuzuka Torao, known as “Tora of Goto” runs an udon noodle making business on the Goto Archipelago. Everyday, his seven children wake up at 5am, help with the business for an hour, then head for school. Over the 22 years the documentary follows them, the children all grow up.

The Flavor of Green Tea over Rice

The story is about a middle aged couple who are different in every way, from each other. However in a critical situation, they find a hope for a renewal of their marriage when they share a simple meal together. As with all of OZU’s films, the family unit, in crisis, is portrayed, with warmth, humor, and resignation to the limit of life.

KICK-HEART

Kick-Heart is a love story between Romeo, a successful pro-wrestler, and Juliet, a nun who lives a secret double-life as a female pro-wrestler. Romeo’s secret is that he enjoys taking a beating in the ring, while Juliet feels invigorated when facing her opponents as a wrestler. When the two meet in the ring, the fireworks fly. Will Juliet reveal her true identity to the one she loves? Will Romeo be able to share his secret to the world?

Shizuka must embark on a cross country hunt for the hypnotist to break the spell, singing and dancing all the way!

The Great Passage

Drama about the passion of an editor who struggles to create a dictionary, as depicted over a fifteen-year period. Publishing house salesman Majime has an earnestness about him that sets him apart from his peers. But he has a discerning sensibility when it comes to language, which lands him in the dictionary editorial department. He ends up editing “The Great Passage,” a huge dictionary with 240,000 entries.

Li’l Spider Girl

Everything started from an old book telling the story of an expert magician who defeated a giant spider monster in ancient times. Antique book dealer Amane Suzuri, who is trying to sell the book in order to pay the rent, would have never imagined that after reading this story to Mizuki, the building owner’s young niece, he could find himself face-to-face with a scared, twenty-centimeter-tall, eight-legged baby arachnid girl. And she’s the sweetest thing in the world… or not?
